Inventor of urban hunting, in 2001 at the Rivoli squat, BIBI captures traffic cones at the heart of the towns.
BIBI liberates the hidden animalistic side from these so contemporary urban objects. Thermoforming, assembling……: he transcends these modern signs in portraits of endangered animals. The cone’s skin, damaged, manhandled, reminds the leather with its wounds and stigmata. The cone loses his status of object, it becomes plastic matter, animal figure and, finally, too much human portrait. Each trophy is accompanied by a caption and a sign conveys its hunting history.
This very harmless massacre questions our ecologically correct era.
